Keep your skin supple with these simple steps

Aging is an undeniable truth of life which one has to face, and with it comes various health and skin related problems. As one gets older the first and foremost problem faced by them is the thin and wrinkled skin. But besides old age there are other factors like genetics, exposure to harmful UV rays, gaining and losing weight substantially, dry skin, medication and pollution that can cause premature wrinkling of the skin.

Society considers glowing and supple skin to be a true mark of beauty, and many cosmetic companies have used it to their advantage. Excess of infiltrating the market with a wide range of skin care products. But instead of feeding your skin with numerous chemicals, you can make several lifestyle changes to achieve that smooth, glowing and wrinkle free skin:

  • PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM UV RAYS:

The harmful UV rays damage your skin to a great extent. Try to seek shadow when exposed to UV rays or cover yourself up with cloth and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. People above 40 years of age should be more careful. At this age the skin stops producing the essential oils needed to protect it from chemicals caused due to inflammation and irritation.

  • KEEP YOURSELF HYDRATED:

Just like your body, your skin also requires to be hydrated. To minimize water loss from the surface of the skin and to keep it hydrated you can use a moisturizer. It makes your skin look healthy and young by trapping the water inside. Increase the intake of water will also help you in keeping the skin hydrated and provide you with natural glow.

  • EAT NUTRITION RICH FOOD:

Whatever you eat, it reflects directly on the skin. It means that if you eat healthy and nutritious food then it would result in a glowing and beautiful skin while on the other hand unhealthy food will damage your skin thus increasing the chances of developing an unhealthy skin. You should make sure that your diet contains food rich in antioxidants, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acid.

  • RESCUE WITH HOME REMEDIES:

Here are some simple remedies which you can incorporate in your daily lives:

  • Take some time to massage your face, arms and legs.
  • Don’t exert yourself with unnecessary stress.
  • Switch to natural products like natural honey and mud moisturizer.
  • Exfoliating your skin on regular intervals is very important as it helps in detoxifying your skin. You can use a natural scrub made from sugar and olive.

These days there are various treatments and surgeries available for wrinkled skin which you might consider depending upon its severity. You must consult your dermatologist before undergoing any such treatment.
